About Me - Bodunwa 'Bod' Idris

BOD has extensive years of experience as an Executive Consultant, Management Consultant, Project Manager, Adjunct instructor, and the founder of Daniel's Enterprise. He is a seasoned and proven leader with hands-on experience in leading and implementing strategic initiatives and business solutions that enable organizations meet their corporate objectives, achieve transformation, and their enterprise goals and missions.

His 2 decades of experience in the marketplace has spanned multiple industries such as: FinTech, Academia, Law Enforcement, Health, Insurance, Oil and Gas, Banking, Government, etc. with clients including NAIT, Not-For-Profit, City of Winnipeg, Avant, Athabasca University, URS Flint (now AECOM), CIBC, etc. Due to his versatility, he has been referred to by his clients as a "Swiss Army Knife".

In 2024, Bod led the delivery of the Account Mapper solution as part of RBC's HSBC $13.5bn acquisition, the largest ever bank business book migration in Canada, enabling the successful transfer and mapping of HSBC accounts to RBC. He led the team who developed the Account Mapping Solution, Fraud detection solution, etc., for migrated HSBC accounts to RBC. Some of his projects have been featured in Yahoo Finance, NewsWire, etc.

Between 2022 and 2023, he led the successful delivery of an AI-powered data-driven fraud detection solution used by major Banking and Financial Institutions in Canada. The solution detected over $105m worth of fraud within its first year.

In 2018, Bod designed a Business & Technology alignment report and strategy on the state of innovation for the City of Winnipeg. This was used by the municipality to maximize investments and ensure projects are aligned to overall objectives of the municipality.

He has pioneered various businesses, successful joint ventures, etc. He has a passion for coaching and has helped groom many individuals succeed in the marketplace - work environment. In 2013, he founded the Daniel's Enterprise, a capacity development organization and hub for empowering individuals to achieve their marketplace goals and hosts EMPOWERED an annual Business and Leadership conference that has featured leaders in various industries.

He also serves as the Senior Pastor of God's Embassy, a faith-based organization (Church) in Edmonton, Alberta.

Started my journey at CIBC as an Analyst, diving deep into records management and retention. These early years taught me the critical importance of data integrity and process optimization in financial services.

Transitioned into business analysis and intelligence at Alberta Blue Cross, then expanded into consulting. Led major initiatives for City of Edmonton, including COBIT 5 framework implementation and enterprise-wide transformations.
